The Warden is the boss of Camp Green Lake. She is a tall woman with red hair. Her arms and her face are covered with freckles. The Warden always wears a black cowboy hat and black cowboy boots which are full of turquoise stones. She paints her fingernails in dark red (the special ingredient is rattlesnake venom).
The Warden's first appearance is when X-Ray "found" the lipstick tube, because she is very interested in what the boys find. In the beginning she is a very nice, human, honorable and generous, because she gave the boys as much water as they wanted after X-Ray "found" the tube. But later, she gets nervous and impatient, because the boys didn't find something as fast as she expected from them. Later, you can also see, that she's a very cruel and violent person. When Stanley pretended to has stolen the sunflower seed of Mr. Sir, she scratched Mr. Sir all over his face with her fingernails covered in rattlesnake venom (chapter 20, p.63, l.32 - p.64, l.29).
The Warden knows all the nicknames of the boys and she knows each of them, because she installed everywhere microphones and cameras all over the places where the boys spend their free time.
