englisch artikel (Interpretation und charakterisierung)

Bend it like beckham

Jess is the British- born daughter of Indian parents. She dreams of being on the soccer field with her hero, David Beckham, one day and kicking the ball in for the winning goal. Her parents tolerated her sports passion when she was young, but now they think she should become serious about her life. They want her to give up her sport passion for cooking lessons and university studies. They also want that she is ready to marry soon like her sister Pinky.

One day Juliette sees Jess playing soccer in the park. Juliette is a girl from a very good girl soccer team and she offered Jess to come to a training lesson in her team. The coach, Joe, thinks Jess is brilliant, so she is in the team. Jess doesn\'t ask her parents for the permission to play in the soccer team, because she knows that they wouldn\'t let her play soccer anyway. Jess decided to lie to her parents and she said that she has got a summer job, so she could go to the soccer training, while her parents think she is at work. Juliette and Jess become really good friends.
Jess is also going to Germany with her team to play against other, good teams. Because her parents shouldn\'t know something about that trip, because they wouldn\'t let her go, that\'s why her sister told them, that Jess is going with her to visit some friends.
In Germany Jess nearly kissed Joe and her very good friend Juliette sees them and is really angry, because she also likes him. Juliette and Jess don\'t talk to each other the whole trip back.
When they arrived her parents were waiting for her and she is really shocked, because they shouldn\'t know something about her trip to Germany. They tell her that they saw her in the newspaper with her soccer team, that\'s why they know she was in Germany and not at some friends\' house. Her parents are very angry and shocked. They say that Jess should be there and help them with the wedding of her sister and she shouldn\'t play soccer anymore, because that is a very big shame for their family.
Joe is trying the whole time to explain Jess\'s family that she is so good in soccer and they should let her play. He told her dad that the final game is in 2 days and that this is the big chance for Jess. The people from a really famous soccer university would be there and they want to see her and when she is good she could go to this really good soccer university in America.
Jess is shocked, when she heard that the wedding of her sister is at the same time as the final game, in 2 days.
Jess\'s dad had a bad experience when he was coming to Britain. He played sports and the others didn\'t accept him, because he was Indian. So he wasn\'t allowed to play sports anymore. That was really hard for him. The same thing happened to the other Indian men. That\'s why he doesn\'t want that Jess is playing soccer, because he doesn\'t want that she has to make the same bad experience. He doesn\'t understand that the things changed since he came to Britain.
The wedding and the final soccer game is there and Jess is really sad at the wedding of her sister, because she is at the wedding and not at the final game, where she should be normally. Her dad can\'t see her sad face anymore, so he decided that he wants that she is going to the final game and that she is fighting for her rights and not being like him.
She is a little bit late at the soccer field, but nobody cares. They are all happy that she is there and she is becoming friend with Juliette again during the game. She kicked the winning goal and is really happy.
After the wedding, she has a big discussion with her family about the soccer university. At least they let her go and she is flying with her friend Juliette together to the soccer university in America. But before she is flying, she kissed Joe at the airport, said goodbye to her family and promised Joe to tell her parents later that she is in love with him. Because the university was such a big step for them and she thinks that is enough for them for the first time.
