Until 16th century -- Aboriginals are the only human live form in Australia
1616 --> The Dutchman Dirk Hartog discovered Australia and landed on an offshore island in Western Australia.
1768 --> Captain James Cook left England on an expedition. He discovers Australia.
1770s --> Cook made two more voyages to Australia.
1779 --> Joseph Banks suggests to sent prisoners to Australia
1783 --> First settlement in Australia is established
1787 --> First Fleet under the command of Captain Arthur Philip was sent to New South Wales.
26th January 1788 --> Port Jackson was founded. Today this settlement is named Sydney
1790 --> The Second Fleet, also known as dead fleet, arrived at Port Jackson. 278 of 1017 convicts died on the voyage.
1793 --> Free Settlers begin to Colonialise Australia
1825 --> Tasmania is separated from New South Wales
1829--> Western Australia was founded
1835 -->Victoria was founded
1836 --> South Australia was founded
1840 --> Deportation of convicts to New South Wales ends
1850 --> "Australian Colonies Government Act" Australian colonies partly independent
1851 --> Gold is found, massive immigration.
1859 --> Queensland is separated from New South Wales
1863 --> Northern Territory is separated from Southern Australia
1868 --> Deportation of convicts to Western Australia ends.
1890 --> Western Australia got a government.
1. January 1901--> Australia got independent from Britain.
